Nokia N900 quick tips and Shortcuts

As we all know by the new the N900 is not a phone nor just a mobile device, we are talking about one of the most daring product ever created by Nokia so far, the N900 can be called mobile computer, or maybe a mini notebook.

i am going to share with you some tips on the best usage for the N900 and also some shortcuts that might improve the overall experience of using this device.

Lets start with the general shortcuts and some of them are juts like your normal PC keyboard shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + C: Copy text
  • Ctrl + V: Paste text
  • Ctrl + X: Cut text
  • Ctrl + A: Select all
  • Ctrl + O: Open (if available)
  • Ctrl + N: Create a new item (if available)
  • Ctrl + S: Save (if available)
  • Ctrl + Z: Undo (if available)
  • Ctrl + Y: Redo (if available)
  • Ctrl + F: Open search bar (if available)
  • Ctrl + Right arrow: Move the insertion point to the end of the word
  • Ctrl + Left arrow: Move the insertion point to the beginning of the word
  • Ctrl + Backspace: From within an application this will take you back out to the visual task manager.

Web Browser shortcuts:

  • Ctrl + N: Open a new window
  • Ctrl + R: Reload the current page
  • Ctrl + B: Open a bookmark
  • Ctrl + D: Add a bookmark

To lock the device instead of using the lock/unlock switch on the right u can just double click the power button.

To silence an incoming call just turn the device’s screen over the table or the palm of ur hand.

LG appointed SEALCO as the new Consumer Electronics distributor in Lebanon

LG Electronics, a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics & mobile communication, announced the launch of its new partnership with SEALCO during a ceremony that took place at the Emirates Hall of the Habtoor Hotel, in Beirut.

During this ceremony, LG Electronics introduced its new official distributor, SEALCO (SHAKER ELECTRONICS & APPLIANCES), Consumer Electronics (CE) products in Lebanon, as of the 1st of January 2010.

Attending the event, were His Excellency, South Korean Ambassador, Mr. Hassan Shaker and Mr. Hussein Shaker, LG’s business partners, LG’s executives, the media and many social figures.

SEALCO, LG’s exclusive distributor for Consumer Electronics in Lebanon will manage the LG business in a highly professional approach to achieve the top level of success. It will provide a very satisfying customer service and professional trade operations.

An exquisite ceremony was organized to reflect LG’s brand and image and to introduce the new distributor to the public. The invitees were transported to a world of fascinating technology that featured a welcome note by Mr. KIWAN KIM, CEO for LG Electronics Middle East & Africa. He welcomed the invitees and stated: “After several years of business in the Lebanese market, LG Electronics turns a new chapter in the company’s history by partnering with SEALCO which will be LG’s Consumer Electronics distributor in the Lebanese market.
